CHLOE KNIBBS

CHLOE KNIBBS is a British composer exploring storytelling, theatricality and sidelined voices with a particular emphasis on feminist perspectives. Featured on BBC Radio 3, she has composed for opera and music theatre, orchestra, chamber music, art song and choir.  Her collaborators include the Hebrides Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, Psappha and Birmingham Opera Company and Illuminate Womens’ Music.

Chloe is a member of the Musician’s Union and the International Alliance of Women in Music.

Chloe obtained a BMus from the University of Manchester, going onto complete a Masters at Birmingham Conservatoire. She now works in Birmingham as a freelance composer and community artist for a number of organisations including the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
