EDWIN NANEZ

EDWIN JESUS NANEZ (b. 1998) is a composer, educator, and clarinetist. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he studied clarinet with Dr. Cheyenne Cruz and was under the baton of Dr. Douglas Stotter, Dr. Clifton Evans and Dr. Chris Evans. During his time at UTA, Edwin has successfully premiered original works with ensembles from around the DFW area such as the UTA Clarinet Choir, Mid Cities Brass, the LSWO Saxophone Quartet and the Delta Sigma chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi.

Currently, he is the Assistant Band Director at West ISD where he leads the 8th grade band and co-teaches the 7th grade band and high school band.

His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. He is an alumnus of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America.
