JANAY MAISANO

 

JANAY MAISANO is a composer that has experience writing for video games, film, and concert music.

Janay is a graduate of the University of Redlands, having earned a Bachelors of Music in Composition in 2021. She has received instruction from composers such as Anthony Suter, Mark Dancigers, Edmond Allmond, and Andre Myers. She has played classical piano since the age of five, and is a vocalist as well. Her composition style has developed and now ranges from lively and fun concert pieces to beautiful, ethereal soundtracks.

She has participated in multiple game jams and film collaborations, and has also written music for groups such as the Holland Concert Jazz Orchestra and Transient Canvas. She is also a member of groups such as the Millennium Composer Initiative (MCI), a group of composers that’s meant for exposing and providing opportunity for up-and-coming composers of all kinds of backgrounds and styles, as well as Phi Kappa Lambda.

When not writing music, she enjoys cooking, video games, and enjoying animation. She also has two parakeets named Fune and Yonsei that she loves spending time with.
