Welcome to the official website for the Millennium Composers Initiative! We're excited to share with you more information about our current members, all of which will be coming soon. First up on our docket is some fantastic news for our Michigan friends in the area!
Our co-founder Duncan Petersen-Jones (read more about him here) will be hosting a bagpipe concert today at 5pm! The concert will be taking place at The Peoples Church, located in the heart of East Lansing, and will feature Duncan's original bagpipe compositions as part of his newly published book Duncan's Piping Tunes: From the Competition to the Bar. The concert also includes highland dancers and refreshments!! If you're in the area, support his new music and go check out his concert!
We'll be posting regularly here (or as often as we can, at least) more news and upcoming events featuring our current members. We are also looking to include more composers into our initiative regardless of style, aesthetic, or background, so if you're interested, feel free to contact us at any time!
Once again, welcome, and thanks for joining us! We gratefully appreciate your continued support and are excited to see what the future holds for us!
