NOAH GRANARD

 

An American composer whose music has been described as compelling, cinematic, and deeply imaginative by his peers and mentors, NOAH GRANARD (b. 1999) is an emerging composer in the world of new music.

Born in San Francisco, California, Noah grew up near L.A. and later San Jose. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Music in Composition with a minor in Music Management at the University of the Pacific (where he currently studies under Dr. Eric Dudley and Dr. Andrew Conklin), and plans to continue his education with a Masters of Music in Composition.

Noah has had the privilege of writing for the Chicago-based saxophone quartet, ~Nois, as well as the nationally recognized Symphonic Wind Ensemble and New Music Ensemble (28/78), at the University of the Pacific. Noah was also accepted as a 2021 fellow for the Alba Music Festival Composition Program.

In addition to composing, Noah is an avid trumpet player of over 11 years. He has performed in numerous ensembles and settings at the collegiate level, including but not limited to: wind ensemble and concert band, jazz band (live and studio), orchestra, trumpet ensemble, and brass ensemble. Additionally, he sings in his college choir and was a 2021 ageout of Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps. In his spare time, Noah enjoys working as an arranger for the marching arts and spending time at home with his family and two dogs.
