PARKER WILLIAM LONG

 

Born February 5th, 2000 (Jackson, Tennessee), PARKER WILLIAM LONG is a freelance composer, educator, and conductor residing in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He regularly works as a freelance composer, percussion instructor, and arranger. His work has been sought after by numerous ensembles across the country and overseas, including Her Majesty’s Royal Marine Band, the Royal Australian Air Force Band, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, the Arkansas State University Wind Ensemble, and numerous High School Ensembles.

Long is a regularly-returning composer-in-residence for “The Pride of Greene County” Marching Eagle Band at Greene County Tech High School, serving as the Marching Band Composer and Instructor of Percussion.

In his leisure time, Long enjoys composing, studying conducting, reading, watching TV Shows and Movies, and taking drives while listening to music. With this, he also enjoys his cats, Oliver and Marlee, even though he is more of a dog person, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
