RYNE SIESKY

RYNE SIESKY (b. 1996) is a Filipino-American composer, educator, technologist, and EID specialist. His music has also been featured at several festivals including the Aspen and Atlantic Music Festivals, Society of Composers, International Trumpet Guild, Diffrazioni, Festival DME, NYCEMF, SEAMUS, and ICMC, among others.

Recently, Ryne was selected as the winner of Musiqa’s 2021 Emerging Composer Commission Competition. His work for 8.1 channel fixed media …grind…, was selected for programming at the International Computer Music Conference, Jacksonville Electroacoustic Music Festival (jemFEST), and Simposio Internacional de Musica Nova. Additionally, his work for flute, guitar, and electronics, panopticotíri was awarded a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and was premiered by Duo Sequenza in collaboration with the Lowe Art Museum. Lastly, his research presentation “Recent Trends in Composition Calls and Competitions” was featured at the Atlantic Music Festival, New Music Gathering, and the 5th Annual Research on Contemporary Composition Conference.

Ryne earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Master of Music in Music Composition from Ohio University, studying under Robert McClure.
